The site also provides lots of interesting information in the links listed on the left side of the home page.  These include a virtual piano museum which includes section on the history, evolution and invention of the piano.  There is a very interesting timeline section that traces the major events in the history of the piano.  If your young student is looking for research material about the piano, this is a good place to start.
